Diploma in Interior Design is a diploma-level course that is curated to impart the knowledge of designing interiors for a variety of spaces like a commercial, residential, etc. Diploma programmes have been welcomed by most of the major interior design companies in India and across the world in recent years.

Interior designers help firms/homeowners in planning out the layout, structure, colour schemes, furnishings, and decorations of their establishments. Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Interior Design

1. Candidates should have passed the 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board of education. The selection process may be done on the basis of first come first get criteria.

2. Many institutes may select candidates on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Certain colleges do conduct their own entrance exams and interview process for selection.

3. Some institutes may also select applicants on the basis of their performance in a personal interaction round conducted by the institute.

Admission Process

1. Basic education of 10+2 from a recognised institution with any stream with 45-50% marks.

2. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.

3. Some universities demand a good score in Hotel Management entrance exams like BVP CET, AIMA UGAT, AIHMCT WAT, etc.
